Arch of Titus
This arch was built in 81 AD by Domitian to celebrate the exploits
of Titus, victor over the Jews and despoiler of Jerusalem in 70
AD, who is shown in the panels that decorate the interior side walls
of the single archway. On the inside of the arch are two bas-reliefs
of the Emperor Titus on his triumphal chariot.
It's a good place for a view of the ruins of the Roman Forum.
It stands on the Via Sacra at the top Velia and appears in all
the views of the Roman Forum.
