The Via Sacra

The Forum was crossed by the Via Sacra (Sacred way) which led the Velia to the Capitoline Hill. It was the route of the triumphal processions of victorious general, they proceeded to the Capitoline Hill to give thanks to Jupiter. This street was the most famous in ancient Rome.

The best way for a walk in Roman Forum is descending on the Via Sacra.
