    Colosseum

    Emperor Vespasian began costruction of the Colosseum on the site of artificial Nero's lake. Costruction of the Colosseum started in A.D. 69. It was completed in A.D. 80. Colosseum is 161 feet (49 meters) high and it could seat about 45.000 spectators. The amphitheater was inaugurated in 80 AD.
