 Rome - Pantheon

Pantheon

The Pantheon is the city's only intact monument from classic times. It was a temple built by Agrippa in 27BC and dedicated to all the gods. The temple was damaged in the fire of 80AD and restored by Emperor Domitian. It was again damaged and was completely rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian in 128 AD in the form we still see today. The entrance is under the porch which is supported on 16 monolithic granite colums.
