View of Colosseum

The Colosseum, or Flavian amphitheater, is one of the few remaining evidences of the glory of ancient Rome, it's the largest amphitheater ever built in Rome. The name "Colosseum" derives from the colossal statue of Nero as sun god which stood on the site of the Domus Aurea, near the amphitheater.
